About Quin

Quin is a text message for college students about their own checking account: what came in, what went out, and what is left for the week. It reads your balance and transactions through a read-only bank connection and does the arithmetic. It never moves money, and it never tells you what to do with yours.

The texts

Two scheduled texts a week, Wednesday and Sunday evenings, with your balance, what was spent, and what is left until your next money comes in. When an overdraft or ATM fee, a late paycheck or a forgotten subscription turns up, one of those texts says so. Replies like SPENT, BILLS, BALANCE and WEEK answer with your own numbers.

The texts are optional. You can use everything on iamquin.ai without them, and you choose them on their own screen after signing in. Message and data rates may apply; message frequency varies. Reply STOP to cancel at any time and HELP for help. The texts cost 99¢ a month and can be cancelled in Settings.

Your bank

Bank connections run through Stripe Financial Connections. Your bank login goes to your bank, through Stripe; Quin never sees your password and holds no credentials. The connection is read-only and you can disconnect it in Settings, which also deletes what Quin kept.

Everything Quin shows is computed from your own numbers. It is not financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and Quin does not recommend products.
